Pioneer Wine Company Acquires Calice Wine Company In Texas
DALLAS, TX. Nov. 26 – Marquis Sauvage, Co-Founder of Pioneer Wine Company of Texas, Classic Wine of Colorado, Maverick Wine of Chicago and Vin Sauvage of Nevada, along with Greg Kassanoff, Co- Founder of Pioneer of Texas, announced today the acquisition of Calice Wine Company.
Based in Houston, Texas, Calice Wine Co. currently provides statewide fine wine sales and distribution coverage, representing wineries from over 10 countries.
“After successfully building fine wine distributors in other major markets, we immediately saw the value of Calice and believe it is the perfect platform to launch Pioneer Wine Company in Texas,” said Pioneer Co-Founder Marquis Sauvage.

The transaction is scheduled to close November 30, 2007. Financial terms were not disclosed.
