Marquis acquired his MBA from the University of Denver and has achieved an advanced level in the Master Sommelier program. After graduating, he opened a wine bar in Denver in 1994. Having acquired good genes from a family history of successful businesses, it was no surprise that Marquis would than move on to bigger ventures. He partnered and co-founded Classic Wines of Colorado, Maverick Wines of Illinois and Vin Sauvage of Nevada, all fine wine distributors with 20-plus years of combined operating history.

Gregory S. Kassanoff, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Greg brings over 15 years experience as an investment counselor, broker, and capital formation specialist for global asset management firms, including most recently Lehman Brothers, Inc., to lead Pioneer. Greg's interest in fine wine and the birth of his triplets led him to chase his entrepenuerial dream. He has been a Senior Vice President, Investment Advisor, and Cross-Divisional specialist award winner. Related Experience: Investor/Board Member, Paragon Furniture Manufacturing, Inc. Larry Immerman: President
The ‘nuts and bolts’ of the operation, Larry has over 25 years of extensive experience in building brands while driving revenue and profit in the Beverage Alcohol Industry. He has demonstrated leadership and strategic marketing capabilities in both the supplier and distributor tiers of this expansive industry. Larry holds a BBA from Pace University and a Graduate degree in marketing from SMU. The wineries located along HWY 12 are among Larry's favorites!

Jeff Horton: CMA, CPIM, Director of Finance and Operations
Jeff is the face behind customer service, accounts receivable and payables, traffic, purchasing, state tax compliance, financial and sales analysis and the list goes on. He holds a Master's Degree in Finance from Texas A&M University and has been a financial and operations manager for import firms Independent Distillers (USA) and Daucourt Martin Imports.

Scott Cameron: Director of Wine Education (more info)
Scott is the statewide Director of Wine & Education due to his phenomenal palate and wine knowledge. Scott is based in Austin, Texas and is our resident “Young Gun” at Pioneer. Scott will assist in the growth of Central Texas accounts along with leading educational programs for key accounts across the state. Scott’s past experience expands every level of the beverage industry, including 9 years in restaurants, a 1-year stint in retail, and over 4 years in distribution and supplier management. The knowledge and insight Scott gained through every level of the wine industry assures a broader understanding of how to interact with different people at each level, as well as being more successful in the planning and execution of sales and purchases. Scott’s extended time in fine dining restaurants, as well as his continued success in Sommelier Competitions and Certification Programs has engrained the highest of service standards and confirmed excellence in wine, beer, and spirits knowledge.
